The Stanley Cup Final is now a best-of-five.
After the Edmonton Oilers managed a Game 1 victory in overtime on Wednesday, the Florida Panthers battled back with a win in double overtime in <a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/edmonton-oilers-florida-panthers-game-2-tactical-review">Game 2</a>.

The two teams combined for eleven penalties and five goals in the first period, with the Oilers leading by a score of 3-2 after 20 minutes of play. In the second period, the Panthers scored twice to take a 4-3 lead and then went into lead protection mode. With just 18 seconds left to play in the third period, Corey Perry tied the game at 4-4.
It took until eight minutes into the second overtime period for the game-winning goal to be scored. <a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/instant-reaction-18-0-brad-marchand-panthers-edmonton-oilers-double-overtime-game-2">Brad Marchand</a> was sprung on a partial break and squeezed a puck past Stuart Skinner.

With the win, the Panthers were able to steal home-ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Final. The series will now shift to Florida for <a href="https://oilersnation.com/schedule">Games 3 and 4</a> on Monday and Thursday of next week.
