<p>Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall season took an awkward turn after he became a healthy scratch ahead of Saturday night&#8217;s 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.</p>

<p>Throughout Hall&#8217;s 15 seasons in the NHL, he&#8217;s been a consistent scorer averaging 68 points per 82 games, but after sitting out for the majority of last season due to knee surgery from an ACL tear, the Blackhawks forward is still finding his footing this year.</p>

<p>As a key part of the Blackhawks top-six, Hall hasn&#8217;t been producing like a former Hart Trophy winner, despite winning one in 2018 with the New Jersey Devils. In 17 games this season, Hall has only scored two goals and six points including a four-game point drought and only three of his four assists coming in the last 10 games.</p>
<p>Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson addressed the media ahead of Saturday&#8217;s game, saying the team&#8217;s schedule hasn&#8217;t allowed for Hall to get in a lot of practice time, so the organization&#8217;s approach is to get Hall in for a little more work.</p>
<p>&#8220;Players never like to sit out,&#8221; Richardson said. &#8220;So he&#8217;s not happy sitting out, but hopefully this is a good step for him and it will help our team.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 2024-25 season, isn&#8217;t just like any other for Hall, the 32-year-old is in the midst of a contract year as he finishes the four-year $24 million deal he signed in 2021 with the Boston Bruins.</p>
<p>Without looking too far ahead into the future, <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/pending-ufa-taylor-hall-wants-to-be-part-of-chicago-blackhawks-build-for-the-long-haul">Hall said in October he wanted to stay in Chicago</a>.</p>
<p>“I’d love to stay and be part of this,” Hall said.</p>
<p>“&#8230; I like it here, I like the organization. Most of all, I really like this team and the group of guys we have. I think I can be a good piece for us as we keep growing. If there was interest on their side, I’d definitely love to be around the team and help build this.”</p>
<p>Hall definitely has the drive to bounce back after taking some time to focus on honing his skills, whether that be during the Blackhawks&#8217; next matchup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks or later on.</p>
<p>Hall was originally the first overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers during the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. After six seasons with the Oilers, he was traded to the Devils where he spent three seasons before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes. He signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres in October 2020, but left a year later through a trade to the Boston Bruins before making his way to the Blackhawks in similar fashion. In 849 NHL games, Hall has recorded 268 goals and 703 points.</p>

<p>The Detroit Red Wings placed goaltender Jack Campbell on waivers Sunday, <em>Sportsnet&#8217;s</em> Elliotte Friedman reported.</p>

As reported by <em>SportsNet&#8217;s</em> Elliot Friedman, along with the move to waivers, Campbell has also been cleared by the Players Assistance Program to return.</p>
<p>Campbell has yet to play a game this season at the NHL or AHL level, but with the move to waivers it&#8217;s likely he will start the season with Detroit&#8217;s AHL affiliate the Grand Rapids Griffins and hopefully work his way into the Red Wings lineup.</p>
<p>Despite one pre-season game with the Red Wings this year, Campbell&#8217;s last regular season game in the NHL was back in November 2023 with the Oilers.</p>
<p>After five games with them last season, Campbell was waived and assigned to Edmonton&#8217;s AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors. With the Condors, the goaltender&#8217;s play seemed to improve and he recorded an 18-13-1 record with a .918 save percentage and 2.63 goals against average. The Oilers <a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/oilers-to-buy-out-final-three-seasons-of-goaltender-jack-campbells-contract">bought out the final three years</a> of his contract this summer.</p>
<p>When the 32-year-old joined the Red Wings this summer he signed a one-year $775,000 contract that will see him become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2024-25 season.</p>

<p>Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis was placed on the injured reserve retroactive to November 10th with an upper-body injury. He will be able to return per IR rules for Sunday&#8217;s game against the St. Louis Blues, however on Friday the club announced the forward as week-to-week.</p>
<p>Jarvis has been key to the success the Hurricanes have seen thus far this season, he&#8217;s recorded four goals and 11 points throughout 13 games. His production has landed him fourth on the Hurricanes in points tied with Jordan Martinook.</p>

<p>The 2024-25 season marks his fourth season in red and black, but unfortunately isn&#8217;t his first season battling with injuries. Last season, Jones missed 15 games with a shoulder injury and an additional 10 games in 2022-23 with a thumb injury.</p>
