Jake Walman has always had some interesting goal celebrations up his sleeve in his NHL career, and he added another one to that resume on Tuesday.

With the <a href="https://oilersnation.com/combinations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Edmonton Oilers</a> in overtime tied 2-2 with the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/ottawa-senators/line-combinations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ottawa Senators</a>, Walman secured the win with a slapshot goal off a faceoff. To celebrate, he went down on one knee, held his stick like a bow and &#8220;fired&#8221; an arrow, and then stood up and wobbled his head towards the crowd.

Walman has held the inspiration to this celebration close to the vest, but has revealed that fans haven&#8217;t been far off in their guesses.

The goal came in Walman&#8217;s season debut after he had missed the Oilers&#8217; first six games due to an undisclosed injury that he sustained in their first preseason game. While a lack of a full training camp will likely leave some rust in his game for a couple of weeks, the fact that he&#8217;s producing is already a great sign.
<blockquote>&#8220;It&#8217;s gonna be a little bit of an adjustment,&#8221; Walman said. &#8220;It will probably take a few games to get my feet under me, but it&#8217;s nice being back with the guys. Just practicing and watching sucks, so I&#8217;d rather be a part of it, and I&#8217;m just happy to be back.&#8221;</blockquote>
Walman still kept busy while he was out of the lineup, as he signed a seven-year contract extension with a $7 million cap hit before the start of the season. He was entering the season in the final year of a three-year contract with a $3.4 million cap hit and was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
