After beating the <a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/instant-reaction-oilers-advance-second-round-win-kings">Los Angeles Kings</a> in the first round for the fourth consecutive year, the Oilers will move on to face the Vegas Golden Knights, who beat Edmonton en route to their first Stanley Cup Championship in 2023.

The Golden Knights finished at the top of the Pacific with a 50-22-10 record, their fifth time winning the division in eight seasons since entering the NHL. They lined up against the Minnesota Wild in the first round and won the series in six games after falling behind 2-1. Vegas finished things off on Thursday with a 3-2 win on the road in Game 6.
