<a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/edmonton-oilers-acquire-forward-vasily-podkolzin-from-canucks">Acquired last summer from the Canucks</a>, the Russian winger scored eight goals, 16 assists, and 24 points in his first season in Edmonton. Come playoff time, Podkolzin contributed three goals and 10 points. The coaching staff and management see value in the forward, and when the extension news dropped, social media had its fair share to say.
